No Nonsense Neckcessories

So it's a regular ol' weeknight and your friends just texted you to meet up for a cocktail. Here you are, standing in front of the mirror, trying to figure out just what it is your outfit needs.  Suddenly, the accessory gods cry aloud, "You need a NECKCESSORY!"

Definition:  Neckcessory (n.)- an accessory worn around one's neck, such as a necklace, neck-tie, or collar, that makes one's outfit even more fabulous than it already is.
Other forms: (v.) neckcessorize, neckcessorizing
In a sentence:  "Damn, I wish I had that gorgeous piece of neckcessory that girl over there is sporting. I wonder if it's a Sassy Girls piece?"

The answer was there all along.  The average girl is afraid of wearing a major statement piece, but not you-especially on a weeknight.  Above, we have some of our absolute favorites that have never done us wrong- like the seriously bold  Goddess necklace on the top left, the chunky & trendy  2 Tone Chainz in the middle, or even the Solid Faux Leather Collar for when you're feeling rock & roll. How can you go wrong?

Other pieces we are currently drooling over include the bow tie look, especially when it's encrusted with Swarovski crystals like this gem from House of Papillon.  Talk about polished!  And finally, the sharp, art deco inspired piece from House of Harlow by Nicole Richie.
The point is, regardless of wherever you picked up your most recent treasure, make sure it's one that leaves an impression. After all, you're not one to shy away from a chance to make an entrance-especially on a weeknight. Enjoy that cocktail! ;)

Coachella 2013-the fashion line-up

It's almost April ladies, which means a few things.  First of all, it's finally time to pack away our pull-overs and make room for our Spring wardrobe (which you can spruce up by shopping at our online Sassy Girls store).  It also means that Coachella is around the corner! This isn't just a music and arts festival, it's the festival of festivals where people are walking forms of art, sporting eclectic must-haves that are sure to set the trend for the upcoming season. Must have items #2: The right accessories.  Coachella is about being free and having fun, so your accessories need to reflect that. Stack up on earthy bangles, wear that fun, long, hippie necklace, and add that groovy mood ring while you're at it.  

Must have items #3: Shades & Sandals. Your fashionable rear is going to be under the sun and on your feet, so make sure you're prepared.  Practical? Yup.  Fabulous?  Absolutely.

PFW2013: Balmain goes back to the future

 

With Led Zepplin playing in the background, 27-year old designer Olivier Rousteing embraced hourglass silhouettes, flared sleeves, embellishments, stripes, and diamond shaped crystals at the Balmain 2013 Paris Fashion Week. With the 80’s inspired metallic colors in silver, ruby red, and emerald, it felt like an 80s modern dance party. To top it off with its chandelier looking earrings, gold buckles, and thigh high boots really knocked our socks off.
